Job Description
Experienced IT manager to lead teams involved developing/configuring, supporting SAP enterprise applications and other related technologies.
Education Requirements
- BS/MS in Computer Sciences, or Business Degree with a technology minor or related experience.
Primary Responsibilities
- Lead and direct technical personnel to help design, develop/configure and support the deliverables for Our Client’s IT department.
- Work closely with U.S. based management team to assure alignment of priorities and deliverables.
- Provide clear and regular status updates to appropriate IT Directors or Managers in U.S.
- Oversee the development or configuration and on time delivery of system enhancements for Our Client’s IT organization.
- Assist in leveraging and balancing available resources to assure on time delivery of artifacts and products.
- Oversee and enforce proper design and development practices for the IT development teams.
- Continuously participate and propose process improvements to maximize India to U.S. collaboration.
- Foster a collaborative environment between onsite and US based technical personnel.
- Assist with mentoring and coaching development teams.
- Responsible for the IT team’s talent development.
- Responsible for attracting and retaining top technical talent.
- Assess and improve the team’s performance.
- Responsible for reward and recognition programs in collaboration with Human Resources and site director according to company policies.
- Assist with long term planning (3, 5 years)
Technical Skills
- Minimum of 8 years of professional experience in a software development environment.
- Minimum 6 years SAP experience, plus a strong working knowledge of other development environments including Java and .net.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as a technical leader or manager for an IT organization.
- Experience collaborating in multi-site IT development teams and supporting project delivery.
- Familiarity or experience in the design and development/configuration enterprise software.
- Familiarity or experience with automated test systems.
- Experience in structured software development process, including SDLC tools.
Teaming/Soft Skills
- Excellent communication skills.
- Ability to efficiently interact with technical staff and senior management.
- Able to lead and collaborate with several functional teams across multiple geographic locations.
- Experience in fiscal management for a software development environment.
- Able to encourage and motivate technical teams.
